Graphics, this game had got it!!

This game has a great 3-D engine, with awesome vector
graphics. With my speed of machine there was some
hesitation but when you do 360 degree turns the graphics are
perfect. This game is just one brutal war of the aliens as the title aspires to. The battle scenes are cool and I wonder where the 3D engine is from, cause I'd sure like to see more games based on it!

Sound

Each little thing you do in this game has an individual sound effect. That is a definite plus. There is a cool
soundtrack running in the background also. Dominant Species makes full use of your sound card so be ready.

Gameplay

It has a great interface and since there are only so many
commands it is quite easy to navigate. I found that the game
progresses along and you really need to keep up but the
training sessions are very helpful. The intense graphics are
hard to interpret at first but you get used to them eventually. The interface has little picture buttons for each action, they not only look cool but make for one slick interface.

We do Battle!!

The battle scenes are neat because they are very interactive and you have 'Total" control over your character. Any enviromental conditions can also help or hinder your battle. And boy are some of those opponents tough.

More competition??

Dominant Species uses the mplayer.com server for its multiplayer action. I am a fan of this server but I still rage for the zone instead. I wish you could multiplay on both sites but it is the vendors who decide and mplayer is a strong site. It has more games being played on it and has a smooth chat interface.

Rating: Joystick is up!
