Real Trophy Hunting, provided to me by Sunstorm Interactive, lets you go on the hunt for some of the biggest game in North America. In Real Trophy Hunting you go after elk, big horn sheep, moose, and bear. It uses real life details to make a more believable and fun game.

The game takes place in a variety of locations using multiple control options. It's helpful that you can change the control scheme to find one with which you're comfortable. There are 16 hunting locations with various backgrounds based on real locations. Each location also has a short description that helps the place feel more real. There are four different weapons you can use consisting of two rifles, a pistol, and a bow. The sound effects, such as animal calls and gunshots, are great and realistic. There's also a statistics screen that tracks your hunts and a trophy room that has pictures of your trophies along with descriptions and data about the hunts. From the map screen, you can see what animals are at each location. Once you select one, you stay at that location until you manage to bring down your target. You have binoculars you can use to get a close view as well as a camera that allows you to save screenshots.

Real Trophy Hunting packs in a lot of details. I've never been hunting, but I'm glad the game strives for realism. As you hunt, you unlock additional locations. It starts out simple enough, but you'll need patience to unlock the final levels. I enjoyed the fact that it's easily accessible yet still challenging.
