TechPad Productions' iMEvil - OverLord 2 Edition Video Game SoundBoard, which I'll call "iMEvil" for the rest of the review, is a soundboard featuring various evil themed sound clips and sound bites from the game Overlord II. It contains 36 evil sounding clips and 35 audio clips from Overlord II. The evil clips didn't provide much entertainment to me, but I enjoyed the Overlord II clips.

The application opens to a screen that looks similar to the iPhone home screen. There are 12 buttons, each playing a different evil sounding clip. Swiping the screen allows you to change pages to gain access to more clips. In the bottom right is a button that switches from general evil clips to clips from Overlord II.

The general clips feature the voice acting of David Sobolov, a voice actor for various games, including Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Evil laughter and "I'd buy that for a dollar" (in an evil voice of course) are two examples of the sounds included. While all the clips have a dark tone, I found that not all of the lines really sounded evil. I didn't really enjoy the evil sound clips. A dark, scratchy voice asking "have you been a good girl" doesn't seem very funny or entertaining.

The Overlord II section of iMEvil contains many lines of dialog by the minions, small creatures from the game who serve the Overlord (the player), and even two songs that the minions sing. Two of my favorite lines included are "bye bye sheepies" and "for the Overlord," both easily recognizable to people who played the games in the Overlord series. If you've played any of the Overlord games, these clips will bring a smile to your face.

If you're interested in having evil clips in your pocket for pranks or joking with your friends while chatting during an online match, this application might be for you. However, I was far from impressed with the generic evil clips. iMEvil also brings the essence of Overlord II into your pocket by including the amusing Overlord II clips. Fans of the Overlord games know that the games are known for their humor, delivered primarily through the dialog, and this application brings you that humor. I enjoyed listening to the Overlord II clips, and if you like the games, you'll like the clips. Even so, iMEvil doesn't seem worth $0.99 (US). On the other hand, it's cheap enough that if the application sounds like fun to you, even if you only plan on using it once, the price is definitely not much of a barrier.
