THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) today announced the release of Avatar: The Last Airbender--Into the Inferno, based on the hit animated Nickelodeon television series. Avatar: The Last Airbender--Into the Inferno is now available for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and Nintendo Wii(TM) home video game system for the suggested retail prices of $29.99 (Wii) and $19.99 (PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS). The game is also scheduled to be made available for Nintendo DS(TM) on November 24, 2008.

Avatar: The Last Airbender--Into the Inferno, which can be played by up to two players, follows the storyline of the third season of Nickelodeon's highly successful animated television series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. In Avatar: The Last Airbender--Into the Inferno, players will embark on an epic adventure and participate in the climactic conclusion to the 100-year-old war. Playing as one of their favorite characters from the show, players will perform similar explosive martial arts moves, as well as bend all four elements - Earth, Fire, Water and Air - to help them in their journey. Cinematic air battles will take place as players soar through the sky on gliders in new flying levels. The Nintendo DS version of the game will also introduce a brand new and unique "bobble head" style of animation previously seen in Nickelodeon's special Avatar series of animated shorts. The game is rated E for Everyone (DS) and E10+ for everyone 10 and older (Wii and PlayStation 2).

Based in Brisbane, Australia, THQ Studio Australia developed Avatar: The Last Airbender--Into the Inferno. For more information about this game and the rest of THQ's lineup of games, please visit www.playthq.com.
